Better Together: Logo, Identity and Print Design

While a designer at NFM Group, the agency was asked by Giant Eagle’s community relations department to design the logo and identity of their newly created “Better Together” brand. This brand would be used for internal promotions regarding what the company sponsored to benefit local charities, communities and initiatives.

Several meetings with the client made clear of their intent: to communicate the concepts of empathy and community with a dash of benevolence. In response I took to my sketchbook and recorded some ideas centered around their concepts, eventually landing on a few marks that warranted further refinement and digital tracing.

The logo mark below is what was selected by the client to activate for internal communications. It depicts the application of the logo on apparel, a newsletter, mailer, and billboard.
